[ Jared’s Story ]

Jared Firestone OLY, Esq., is a 2026 Olympian who represented Team Israel in Skeleton at the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics, serving as Israel’s flag-bearer in the Cortina Opening Ceremonies. Born and raised in South Florida, Jared was a Broward County district champion sprinter and competed in track and field at Tulane University before earning his law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He is a licensed attorney in Florida and New York.

After surviving a mini-stroke during law school, Jared rebuilt his life around one goal: to compete for Israel on the world stage. Jared began competing in Skeleton in 2016, at the age of 26, and made Aliyah in 2019 in order to represent Israel. Nicknamed “The Jewish Jet,” he went on to win 8 medals on Olympic qualifying circuits, including Israel’s first gold, was Israel’s first finalist at a Skeleton World Championship (2025), and earned Team Israel’s best placement at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Outside of competing in Skeleton and practicing law, Jared speaks to audiences around the country about Jewish pride, resilience, elite performance, and turning adversity into opportunity.

Jared is also the co-founder of Advancing Jewish Athletics Inc., a nonprofit supporting the next generation of Jewish and Israeli athletes.
